I ran into some problems when trying to specify certain usernames, so that&#039;s where the user_id comes into play and should definitely work.

Finding the user id isn&#039;t super straight forward... the easiest way I found to do it was to look at the RSS feed urls at the bottom of the photostream page. In all the rss feed urls, Flickr appears to use the user_id instead of username. So look at the rss url and grab the id from there.</description>
