Last weekend Gina and I went out to The Pond in Queen Creek with Tammy and Marty. Marty’s been putting up some new routes and is getting ready to release an updated map of the area. He’s rebolted a route called Dead Pool, previously a 5.8X with two bolts now is ten (I think) bolts and makes for a nice route.
One of the fun new ones is called To The Streets (or was it Take it to the Streets?), a 5.9 nine bolt that forces you to use your feet as there are practically no hand holds the entire climb.
It was a great day of climbing. It’s getting a little hot to climb around Phoenix, but lucky for us we were climbing in the shade all afternoon. Here’s the rest of my pics from climbing.
